manufacturer has declared in the vehicle
handbook that the vehicle is capable of ac-
cepting a "Semi-Universal" child restraint
for this age group. This child restraint has
been classified as "Semi-Universal" un-
der more stringent conditions then those
which applied to earlier designs which do
not carry this notice.
It can be installed in vehicles without base
with 3-point retractable seat belts that
have been approved compliant with the
ECE R16 or other equivalent standards.
• All belts intended for fastening to the
restrainer fittings in the vehicle must be
tightened. The belts used to hold the
child must be fastened tightly. The belts
may furthermore not be twisted.
• It is essential to ensure that the crutch
belts are fastened as low as possible to
ensure that the crutch is retained proper-
ly.
• Replace the restrainer fittings if they
have been subject to heavy loading due
to an
accident.
• WARNING: It is dangerous to change or
supplement the restrainer fittings in any
way
