AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL MAINTENANCE
VACUUM MOTOR MAINTENANCE
This machine has a vacuum motor that uses carbon brushes. The carbon brushes in the motor must be checked once a year, or every 300 hours of
operation, whichever comes fi rst. If either of the brushes is shorter than 3/8 inch, replace both of the carbon brushes.
To gain access to the vacuum motor:

Drain the recovery and solution tanks and tip the machine over onto its side.

See Figure 8. Remove the (2) (A) Screws.

Tip the machine back upright, grab hold of the Operator's Handle (1) and push down to tilt the entire recovery / solution tank assembly back.

Disconnect the vacuum motor wiring and tip the recovery / solution tank assembly back forward. NOTE: Make note of wire connection
locations for reassembly.

Disconnect the Recovery Hose Connection (19).

See Figure 14. Remove the (4) Button Plugs (A) and the (4) Screws and Washers (B).

Lift the Recovery Tank (3) off of the machine.

Lift the Vacuum Motor (C) up and out of the Solution Tank.
