8 | How to use
8.1.| Automatic control
Your dryer is equipped with infrared sensors for automatic control of the air pipes (automatic start and
stop) as well as a manual control function.
Infrared sensor: A sensor is located in the upper third of each air vent.
In most cases, you can use the unit in automatic operating mode. Simply place your shoes, boots,
gloves or helmets etc. over the air tubes and ensure that shoes or gloves are down far enough to cover
the infrared sensors. The dryer then starts up immediately and stops automatically after the preset
time or if you remove your shoes, gloves or socks.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that at least one of the infrared sensors is completely covered, as
otherwise the unit will not start up automatically. If it is not possible to cover either of the
sensors, start up the unit in manual mode.
If you start up the unit in automatic control mode, you can set the sterilising and drying time with the
"+" and "-" buttons. However, you cannot set the drying temperature manually in this mode. The drying
temperature has to be set before you start up the dryer (see 8.3 – Settings).
