stalling the product. The product must not be used by any-
body who has not read these instructions.
• Keep this manual for future reference.
• To use this product in the car, only use the kit supplied
to install the I-Move carrycot; this kit can only be used to
connect the I-Move carrycot.
• No child retention device can guarantee the total safety
of your child in the event of an accident, but the use of this
product reduces the risk of serious or mortal injuries.
• Incorrect use of this product increases the risk of serious
injuries to children, not only in the case of accidents, but
also under many other circumstances.
• If the product is damaged, deformed or worn out, it must
be replaced: it may no longer comply with the original
safety standards.
• This product must not be modified in any way, unless
the modification is approved by the manufacturer. Do not
install accessories, spare parts, or any component not sup-
plied by the manufacturer.
• Never leave your child unattended in the carrycot when
installed in the car.
• Never leave the carrycot on the car seat without fasten-
ing it in place: it could move and injure other passengers
in the car.
• If the vehicle has been left in the sun, carefully check that
the different parts of the carrycot are not too hot before
placing the baby inside: if this is the case, allow the prod-
uct to cool down before placing the child inside, in order to
prevent scorching or burns.
- After an accident, even a minor one, the carrycot and
CAR KIT may have been damaged, even if it is not visible
to the naked eye: it is recommended to replace them im-
mediately.
• Do not use second hand car safety devices or products:
they may have suffered structural damage which is not
visible to the naked eye but seriously compromise the
safety of the product.
• ARTSANA disclaims all liability for negligent and incor-
rect use of this product.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• This is a "Universal" child restraint device and is approved
to ECE Regulation No. 44, amendment series 04 stand-
ards. It is suitable for use in vehicles and will fit most, but
not all car seats.
• A correct fit is likely if the vehicle manufacturer has de-
clared that the vehicle is predisposed for the installation
and fitting of "Universal" child restraint systems for this
age group.
• This child restraint system has been classified as
"Universal" under more stringent conditions than those
that were applied to earlier designs which do not display
this notice.
• Only suitable if the vehicle is fitted with a 3-point static
or 3-point retractor safety harnesses approved to UN/ECE
Regulation No.16, or other equivalent standards.
• If in doubt, consult either the child restraint device man-
ufacturer or your retailer.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
CAR KIT. The car belt closure buckles are components used
to fit and use the I-Move carrycot inside your car when
travelling with your baby during the first few months.
This product is fully certified to ECE R44/04 "0 Group"
European Safety Standards for the transportation of in-
fants weighing from 0 to 10 kg in weight, and up to about
6 months of age.
CAR SEAT REQUIREMENTS
To fasten the carrycot to the car seat, the car seat itself
must comply with the following requirements:
17- it must be facing forwards (Diag. 17);
18- it must be a rear car seat fitted with at least 2 passen-
ger seat belts and 3 anchorage points (Diag. 18), certified
to UNI/ECE 16 Standards, or other equivalent regulations.
LAP BELT
The carrycot has an internal lap belt built into the actual
structure. Before fitting the carrycot inside the car, read
and follow the assembly instructions to make sure you in-
stall it correctly.
19-WARNING! Make sure you fasten the carrycot lap belt
properly, checking that it is threaded through the slots in
the removable fabric lining and the mattress (Diag. 19).
20-WARNING! Overlap the two ends and use the velcro to
fasten them firmly in place (Diag. 20A-20B).
21-WARNING! Check that the belt is not twisted (Diag.
21).
USING THE CAR KIT AND THE CARRYCOT:
22-WARNING! Bring the handle bar into a vertical posi-
tion before installing the carrycot (Diag. 22)!
WARNING! To ensure maximum levels of safety when
using the carrycot in the car, recline its backrest as far as
possible, as seen in Section 6 of the carrycot user manual
(Adjustable Backrest).
WARNING! Never use the carrycot in the car with the
backrest in an upright position!
23-24 - To fasten the carrycot to the rear seat, position it
in the centre and use the two car seat belt straps on either
side to fix it in place (Diag. 23). If the rear seat of your car
has a central 3-point retractor safety belt, this can be used
to install the carrycot on the central or side seat, using
both of their seat belts (Diag. 24).
25-Position the carrycot lengthwise on the seat (Diag. 25)
making sure it is firmly fastened in place.
Follow these instructions carefully using the LH belt:
26 - Grasp the end of the belt attached to the car seat
(Diag. 26).
27-Fold the belt to create a slot as seen in the diagram
(Diag. 27)
28-Grasp the carrycot buckle and turn the red bar on the
buckle outwards (Diag. 28)
29-30Insert the folded belt slot into the buckle (Diag. 29)
and rotate the red bar to its initial position so that it can be
threaded through the slot itself (Diag. 30)
31- Pull the buckle upwards to check it is securely fastened
(Diag. 31)
32-WARNING! It is important that the flap B is facing
upwards! (Diag. 32)
33- To connect the buckle to the carrycot, hook the clasp
onto the ring attached to the end of the carrycot (Diag.
33).
34- To stabilise the carrycot, pull the car seat belts down-
wards until they are sufficiently taut (Diag. 34)
