Baby Cry Transmitter
operation
The Baby Cry Transmitter con-
tains a built-in microphone to
pick-up the sound of a crying
baby. Plug the transmitter into
a convenient mains socket near
to the baby.
On the underside of the trans-
mitter are two knobs.
The knob labelled S adjusts the
microphone sensitivity.
The knob labelled T adjusts the
length of time the sound must
be on before the transmitter
activates.
Knob T in position 0 (fully anti-
clockwise) = minimum respond
time (approx. 0.2 sec.)
Knob T in position 3 (fully
clockwise) = maximum
respond time (ca. 3 sec.)
Knob S in position 0 (fully anti-
clockwise) = minimum micro-
phone sensitivity
Knob S in position 3 (fully
clockwise) = maximum micro-
phone sensitivity.
An initial setting with high
microphone sensitivity and ave-
rage response time (approx.
2.5 sec.) is recommended.
Knob S =3 (fully clockwise)
Knob T = 1.5 (half way round)
With this setting the transmit-
ter does not react to short loud
sounds, but reacts to sounds
with a constant sound level
that are uninterrupted for
approx. 2.5 seconds (e.g. baby
cry). However, you will need to
experiment with these settings
to find the most convenient
settings.
Additional 4-metre lead
microphone (accessory):
Simply plug the microphone
cable into the socket on the un-
derside of the baby cry trans-
mitter. The microphone can
now be placed very near to the
baby if the built-in microphone
is too far from the baby to pick
up the sound adequately.
Warning
The additional microphone and
lead could prove a danger to a
baby or small child. Ensure that
they are well out of reach.
Important note
All lisa devices connected to
the mains supply have a low
power consumption which may
lead to the device feeling
warm. This is normal and does
not interfere with the normal
function of the devices.
These signalling systems have
a high operational safety.
