6.1
Using the 12 Vg plug
➤ Connect the cable to the 12 Vg plug (fig. 1 6, page 3) using the adapter
plug (fig. 1 3, page 3) of the compact charger.
➤ Insert the 12 Vg plug in a 12 Vg socket (e.g. the cigarette lighter) of your
vehicle.
NOTE
I
On some vehicles you need to switch on the ignition to complete
the electricity circuit so that the compact charger can charge the
battery.
➤ Charge the battery as described in "Charging a battery" on page 28.
6.2
Using cable lugs
The two cable lugs are marked:
Red cable lug: is to be connected to the positive terminal of the battery.
Black cable lug: is to be connected to the negative terminal of the battery.
➤ Remove the nuts from the bolts of the two battery terminals.
➤ Plug the red cable lug onto the bolt of the positive terminal.
➤ Plug the black cable lug onto the bolt of the negative terminal.
➤ Replace the nuts on the bolts of the two battery terminals.
➤ Place the safety caps on the cable lugs before you connect the cables
with the compact charger.
➤ Connect the cable to the cable lugs (fig. 1 4, page 3) using the adapter
plug (fig. 1 3, page 3) of the compact charger.
➤ Charge the battery as described in "Charging a battery" on page 28.
