8. Demineralised water
The demineralised water used to humidify the breathing air must comply
with the following requirements:

Furthermore, the following criteria must be fulfilled:
■ No particles of metals in the hydrogen sulphide group, iron, nickel, chlo-
rine, sulphur and nitrogen compounds.
■ Oxidising organic substances may only be present in a quantity corre-
sponding to a consumption of 20 mg / l potassium permanganate.
■ Demineralised water must be germ-free or have a low germ count. The
max. germ count is 50 germs / ml (as per Drinking Water Ordinance
TVO < 100 germs / ml).
9. Assembly
The SATA AB1 is to be connected to a stationary compressed air supply
system.
Requirements for the installation site
Danger!
Danger to life through incorrect installation
The SATA AB1 is not protected by any measures for use in explosive
atmospheres. Incorrect installation can cause the SATA AB1 to explode.
→ Install SATA AB1 outside ex-zones.
Notice!
The compressed air temperature at the air intake should not be < 10 °C.
For air temperatures < 10 °C, the compressed air must be heated out-
side the SATA AB1. As a general indication, the temperature should be
18 °C. The max. tolerable compressed air temperature is 40 °C.
