The headset boom microphone (A:7) should be placed approximately 1 cm from the mouth for best
noise suppression and clear speech intelligibility. Make sure the microphone is facing the mouth
(A:7b).
When Bluetooth® pairing has been activated, the link is automatically established with the headset next time
the hearing protection is switched on. The connection link is confirmed with an audio signal in the headset and
the LED flashes blue.
Turning off the Bluetooth® function
Press and hold the BT knob for 6 seconds. An audio signal with 4 descending tones is heard in the headset
confirming the Bluetooth® function is turned off.
Answer/End/Refuse call
Most phones send their own call signal to the headset. If not, 4 shifting tones are heard in the headset at
incoming calls.
1. Answer a call by pressing short on the BT knob. 2 ascending tones confirm that the call is connected
2. End a call by pressing short on the BT knob. 1 short tone confirms that the call is disconnected.
3. To refuse a call, press and hold the BT knob for 3 seconds. 2 descending tones confirm the call is
refused.
Voice dial from headset via connected phone
See the user instruction for your phone if it supports voice dial.
1. Press and hold the BT knob for 2 seconds and release the BT knob.
2. Speak your voice dial command.
Most phones that support voice-controlled dialling will send an acknowledgment signal when to speak
your voice dial command.
IMPORTANT! If 2 units are connected, the headset will activate the voice dial function on the first
paired unit, or on the unit that has the last outgoing call.
Park a call/put on hold
During an ongoing call an additional incoming call can be connected. See the user instruction for your phone
if this is supported.
1. A short press on the BT knob will connect the incoming call and end the ongoing call. A short tone is
heard in the headset to confirm.
2. Two short presses on the BT knob will connect the incoming call and put the ongoing call on hold. A
short tone is heard in the headset to confirm.
3. One short press on the BT knob re-connects the parked call and ends the other. A short tone is heard
in the headset to confirm.
Adjusting the volume during an ongoing call
1. Increase the volume by turning the BT knob clockwise.
2. Decrease the volume by turning the BT knob counter clockwise.
The headset has the function "adaptive volume control" which adjusts the incoming communication/speech
volume to the ambient sound level. This means that the users themselves do not need to adjust the volume
when working in irregular ambient sound levels. The volume adjusts relative to the originally set volume level.
Music streaming from a Bluetooth® unit
1. Start the headset Bluetooth® function (see earlier steps).
2. Start the music player on the phone (or other unit).
3. Adjust the volume by turning the BT knob clockwise/counter clockwise.
4. Play/Pause the music by pressing short on the BT knob
5. Other playback functions are controlled on the phone.
Warning!
Remember to adjust the volume when working in noisy environments so that any warning signals etc. can be
heard.
Indication of broken Bluetooth® link
If the Bluetooth® link is broken due to exceeded range (more than10 meters) two tones will be heard in the
headset.
NOTE! The unit will not automatically connect when within range. Press the BT knob when within range (less
than 10 meters) to re-establish the link. A tone will be heard in the headset to confirm.
