Overheating protection

If the temperature of the charger exceeds 239 °F, overheating protection is triggered and
charging is suspended until the charger has cooled off. The display continues to show
the charging status.

Disconnecting the battery

WARNING!

Risk of explosion!

Improper handling of the charger can initiate spark
formation and trigger an explosion.
Hydrogen gas can escape from the battery during charging
and trickle charge processes. In the event of contact with
open fl ames, a highly explosive hydrogen-oxygen reaction
will result!
− Disconnect the appliance from power before disconnecting
the connection terminals from the battery.
− Observe the correct sequence when disconnecting the
battery terminals.
When disconnecting the battery from the charger, proceed in the following order:
− Unplug the charger from the outlet after charging.
− Remove the negative polarity clamp (black) from the negative pole of the battery.
− Remove the positive polarity clamp (red) from the positive pole of the battery.
− Reconnect the vehicle's positive polarity battery cable terminal to the positive pole
of the battery.
− Reconnect the vehicle's negative polarity battery cable terminal to the negative
pole of the battery.

Switching off

− Switch off the charger by pulling the power plug from the outlet.
