06 | ADJUSTMENTS
RETICLE
Your DÖRR Milan XP riflescope is equipped with the reticle of your choice (4A or
Mill Dot). All reticles of the MILAN XP series are arranged in the second image
focus plane. Thus, the size of the reticle always remains constant, no matter
which magnification you have selected.
ADJUSTING THE RETICLE
In the delivered condition, the reticle is always in the adjustable middle position.
If this setting does not match your target image, you have the option to fine-tune
by adjusting the windage and elevation (2 + 3) as described below.
06.1 WINDAGE ADJUSTMENT (2)
To adjust the point of impact to the left or to the right, unscrew the protective
cap (2a) counterclockwise. The adjustment ring (2b) for the windage adjustment is
located underneath.
To adjust the reticle to the left, turn the adjustment ring (2b) in the direction of
arrow "L".
To adjust the reticle to the right, turn the adjustment ring (2b) in the direction of
arrow "R".
1 Click = 1/4 MOA corresponds to 0.73 mm at a distance of 100 meters.
When the fine-tuning is finished, screw the protective cap (2a) clockwise back onto
the adjusting ring to prevent the ingress of dirt or moisture.
06.2 ELEVATION ADJUSTMENT (3)
To adjust the point of impact upward or downward, unscrew the protective cap
(3a) counterclockwise. The adjustment ring (3b) for the elevation adjustment is
located underneath.
To adjust the reticle upward, turn the adjustment ring (3b) in the direction of
arrow "U".
To adjust the reticle downward, turn the adjustment ring (3b) in the direction of
arrow "D".
1 Click = 1/4 MOA corresponds to 0.73 mm at a distance of 100 meters.
When the fine-tuning is finished, screw the protective cap (3a) clockwise back onto
the adjusting ring to prevent the ingress of dirt or moisture.
NOTE
Please note that the elevation and windage adjustments are only protected
against dust and water with mounted protective covers (2a + 3a).
06.3 DIOPTER ADJUSTMENT (4)
With the diopter adjustment the reticle will be focused. To obtain the best possible
sharpness, first turn the adjustment ring (4a) all the way to the left until it stops.
Then turn the adjustment ring (4a) slowly to the right until the best sharpness is
achieved. For the maximum diopter adjustment please refer to the technical spe-
cifications (chapter 8).
06.4 MAGNIFICATION (6)
The magnification can be continuously adjusted by turning the adjustment ring
(6). The set magnification can be read from the marking on the adjustment ring.
06.5 RETICLE ILLUMINATION (7)
All DÖRR riflescopes of the MILAN XP series are equipped with a switchable
electronic red dot, which offers you an easier targeting for example in the twilight.
To turn on the red dot, press the On/Off button (7) for about 3 seconds.
To increase the brightness of the red dot step by step, press the On/Off button (7)
briefly. The brightness can be increased in 7 steps.
After switching off the red dot, the last set brightness level appears when swit-
ching on the red dot again (memory function).
To save energy, the reticle illumination is equipped with an automatic switch-off
and the red dot will automatically turn off after approx. 120 minutes.
