copy of own acquired original material for own private use. If the Doorbell is for use
outside Denmark, please be aware that there may be national differences, and we
recommend that you look into the legislation in force in each individual country if
in doubt.
If MIDI files cannot be downloaded
MIDI has a few format types, namely type 0, type 1, type 2 and JACOB JENSEN
Doorbell USB only supports type 1. If the MIDI file you want to download is not
supported (type 1), the following message will pop up:
"Cannot convert the MIDI file, please check it and try again!"
MIDI in "Sample" folder
These MIDI files are the preloaded tunes in the Doorbell and they are not playable
on the PC. However, you could reload these tunes to the Doorbell (for melody
setting , 4, 5 only) through the PC application software.
Remove USB device
Since the Doorbell is not a mass storage device, you can remove and disconnect the
doorbell directly after download is complete, without having to remove the USB
device in your PC.
Select Tune
Slide the MELODY key on the Bell push to the desired location.
Set the volume
Slide the VOLUME key on the chime to HIGH/LOW/OFF.

make the unit ready to receive or transmit a signal again.
Mounting

The chime is designed to be
free standing, in order for
it to be placed and moved
as needed. Can also be wall-
mounted by means of the
enclosed fitting.
16
To mount the Bell push:
The Bell push is easily
mounted by means of the
enclosed safety fitting,
screws and plugs. When
the mounting plate is fixed,
slide down the Bell push
until a "click" is heard. For
changing the battery, release
the bottom lock by pressing
the hook towards you (use
a small and flat screwdriver to handle the lock). Remain with the lock in released
position while sliding the Bell push upwards and out. The Bell push is not to be
mounted on metal door frames.
Note: The maximum working distance between the chime and the Bell push is
200 metres. Metal structures or reinforced PVC doors or doorframes may affect
transmission or reduce the transmission range.

Maintenance
TM
The following guidelines will help you care for your JACOB JENSEN
unit so you can enjoy using it for many years.
· Placement of this product on wood surfaces with certain types of finishes, such as
clear varnish, may result in damage to the finish. We shall not be responsible for
any damage to wood surfaces from contact with this product.
· Always keep the chime dry. If you spill liquid over it, dry it immediately with a soft,
lint-free cloth.
· Do not clean the unit with abrasive or corrosive materials.
· Use and store the units only under normal temperatures. Temperature extremes
can shorten the life of electronic components, damage batteries and distort or
melt plastic parts.
· Handle the units gently and with care. If they are dropped, circuit boards can be
damaged, resulting in malfunction.
· Keep the units free from dust and dirt to avoid the premature wear of parts.
· Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type. Always remove old or weak
batteries as they might leak chemicals that will damage the product.
· Modifying or tampering with the internal components of the chime or the Bell
push may cause unnecessary damage and will invalidate the warranty.
· The units contain no user-serviceable parts.
· Do not dispose this product as unsorted municipal waste. Collection of such waste
separately for special treatment is necessary.
· The contents of this manual may not be reproduced without the permission of the
manufacturer.
If the Doorbell does not work:
1. Check that the volume is not turned OFF in the battery compartment of the chime.
2. Check the batteries by activating the Bell push. The lights on both the chime and
the Bell push should light up (ensure the light is not turned OFF on the chime).
Replace the batteries on the unit not lighting up.
. Reset by pressing the RESET key in the battery compartments.
4. Check that the units have identical codes, and if not adjust them.
5. Check that the chime and the Bell push are not too far apart.
6. Other products, using the same frequency, or materials may interfere with the
signal. Remove the object causing the interference or find another position for the
chime, where a clear signal can be obtained.
