About this Instruction Manual

Intended Use
This product is intended only for private use.
It was developed for the magnified display of things in nature.
General Warning
RISK of bodily injury!
Never use this device to look directly at the sun or in the direct proximity of the
sun. There is a RISK OF BLINDNESS!
Children should only use the device under adult supervision. Keep packaging material
(plastic bags, rubber bands, etc.) out of the reach of children! There is a RISK OF CHOK-
ING!
FIRE RISK!
Do not place the device — in particular the lenses — in direct sunlight. The concentration
of light could cause fire.

RISK of property damage!
Do not disassemble the device. In the event of a defect, please contact your dealer.
In the event of a defect, please contact the Service Centre in your country (see the
warranty card).
Do not expose the device to temperatures above 45°C.
RISK of bodily injury!
This device contains electronic components which operate via a power source (power
supply and/or batteries). Do not leave children unattended when using the device. Only
use the device as described in the manual, otherwise you run the RISK of an ELECTRIC SHOCK.
Keep batteries out of the reach of children! Make sure you insert the batteries correctly. Empty or
damaged batteries could cause burns if they come into contact with the skin. If necessary, wear
adequate gloves for protection.
RISK OF FIRE/EXPLOSION!
Do not expose the device to high temperatures. Use only the supplied power supply
or the recommended batteries. Do not short circuit the device or batteries or throw
them into a fire! Excessive heat or improper handling could trigger a short circuit, fires or even
explosions.
Use only the recommended batteries. Always replace weak or empty batteries with a new, com-
plete set of batteries at full capacity. Do not use batteries from different brands or with different
capacities. The batteries should be removed from the unit if it has not been used for a long time.
Privacy PROTECTION!
The device is intended only for private use. Please heed the privacy of other
people - do not use them to look into apartments, for example.
SPECIFICS OF THE UNIT
• Do not subject the device to shock or impact. Do not drop.
• Turn off the device when not in use and when carrying the unit.
• The device can be used in daylight as well as nighttime conditions.
• After using the device in cold temperatures, please, wait up to 2-3 hours before using the
device in the warm temperatures. This helps prevent condensation on the lenses.
• Do not leave the device in direct sunlight or rain.
• Water, sand, dust, and salt can damage the device.
• When focusing on the display (you can see the fine black net) 7 light or dark spots on the
whole field of view in the image plane are acceptable.
• Design of the unit does not provide for adjustment of the IR-Illuminator.
