Radio-electric frequencies

This WiFi powerline adapter generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy. If it is not installed
and used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, it may cause interference which will
affect radio and television reception. There is however no guarantee that interference will not occur in
a particular installation.
The WiFi powerline adapter was designed with the utmost care to ensure the safety of anyone who
installs and uses it. However, users should pay particular attention to the risks of electric shock and
static electricity when using electrical equipment. Therefore, users must always follow all advice from
the product manufacturer to ensure safe use of the equipment.
Your WiFi powerline adapter transmits and receives radio electric frequencies in the 2.4 GHz range. In
environments where the risk of interference with other systems or services, e.g. in airports, hospitals
and atmospheres containing oxygen and flammable gases, is deemed or perceived as harmful, the use
of a wireless device may be restricted or prohibited. Request permission before using or switching on
the wireless device.
If you have a pacemaker or other prosthesis, ask your doctor for advice.

Installation recommendations

WiFi powerline adapters send and receive data via your home's electrical grid. The adapters may be
affected by electrical noise or the length of wiring in your home.
POWER OUTLET CONNECTION
Do not connect the WiFi powerline adapters to an inverter. For optimal performance, connect the WiFi
powerline adapters directly to a power outlet. Avoid connecting high-powered devices to the same
power outlet. Plug these devices into an extension cord to avoid interference:
Use an extension cord to keep chargers and mains adapters away from the WiFi
powerline adapters.
Do not plug the WiFi powerline adapters into an extension cord. Do not plug other
mains adapters and chargers into the same power outlet block as the WiFi powerline
adapter.
Do not plug the WiFi powerline adapters into an extension cord with other mains
adapters and chargers.

POWER STRIP CONNECTION
If you need to connect mains adapters to a power strip, follow these guidelines:
Make sure that the power strip is not filtered or a surge suppressor. This could alter the data sent and
received on the power grid. Flow rate and distance may be degraded.
Use a power strip with the shortest possible cable.
Plug the WiFi powerline adapter directly into the wall outlet, and then plug the power strip into the
adapter's integrated outlet, as shown in the diagram above.
Do not plug the adapter into a power strip that is plugged into another power strip.
ELECTRICAL INTERFERENCE
Some electrical devices emit electrical noise. If this noise spreads to your home's electrical system, it
can affect the performance, speed and reliability of your adapters. For optimal performance, connect
these devices to an unfiltered power strip.
The following devices may cause interference: battery chargers (including mobile phone chargers), hair
dryers, drills, vacuum cleaners, halogen lamps, light bulbs or sensor lamps.
ELECTRICAL GRIDS
WiFi powerline adapters send and receive information via your home's electrical grid. If two WiFi powerline
adapters are connected to wall outlets that are separated by long electrical wiring, the adapters may not
communicate with each other optimally.
BUSINESS INSTALLATION
Installing WiFi powerline adapters for business use is NOT RECOMMENDED due to certain risks that
degrade or interfere with communication. WiFi powerline adapters cannot be guaranteed for business
use in offices or factories.
This device is for indoor use only on 5,150 to 5,250 MHz frequencies in the following member States: AT, BE, BG, CZ,
DK, EE, FR, DE, IE, IT, EL, ES, CY, LV, LT, LU, HU, MT, NL, PL, PT, RO, SI, SK, FI, SE, UK, HR
