SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk
of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the
following:
• Read all instructions before using this appliance.
• Use fan only for purposes described in the
instruction manual.
• To protect against electrical shock do not immerse
unit, plug or cord in water or spray with liquids.
Plug the appliance directly into electrical outlet.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use, when moving
fan from one location to another, before putting on
or taking off parts and before cleaning.
• Avoid contact with moving parts.
• Do not operate in the presence of explosive and/or
flammable fumes.
• To avoid fire hazard, NEVER place the cord under
rugs or any parts near an open flame, cooking or
other heating appliance.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord
or plug after the appliance malfunctions, or has
been dropped/damaged in any manner. Take it to
an Authorized Service Center for its examination
and/or repair.
• The use of attachments not recommended or sold
by the appliance manufacturer may cause hazards.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table,
counter or come in contact with hot surfaces or
leave exposed to high traffic areas.
• To disconnect, grip plug and pull from wall outlet.
Never yank on cord.
• Always use on a dry, level surface.
• Do not operate fan until fully assembled with all
parts properly in place.
• This product is intended for household use ONLY
and not for commercial or industrial applications.
• WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrical shock
and injury to persons, do not use in window.
• WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric
shock, do not use this fan with any other solid-state
speed control device.
• Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover
cord with throw rugs, runner, or similar coverings.
Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it
will not be tripped over.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance
is used by or near children, or incapacitated
individuals.
• (For 120 NEMA 1-15P plugs only) This appliance
has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug
will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it
still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO
NOT MODIFY THE PLUG IN ANY WAY.
PRECAUTIONS RELATED TO THE USE
OF SCENTED OIL BOTTLES (SCENTED
OIL BOTTLES NOT INCLUDED):
• Avoid contact with eyes, skin, nose and mouth.
Signs and symptoms of contact with eyes can
cause mild irritation; with skin can cause mild
irritation and dermatitis. If ingested, it can cause
nausea. If inhaled, it can cause mild irritation of the
respiratory system.
• Once a scented oil bottle has been used, it should
be disposed. Make sure to keep hands away from
eyes, mouth and nose until carefully washed.
• Do not transport or store scented oil bottles near
foods, kitchen utensils, toys or clothing. Keep them
in dry and cool place.
• Do not use them in rooms near individuals who
have asthma, allergies or other respiratory
problems.
• Do not keep them near persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or pets.
• The hot scented oil bottle should not be touched
and the aroma diffuser compartment should not be
punctured with sharp objects or touched with wet
hands.
• Hands should always be washed after handling the
scented oil bottles.
• Read carefully and follow the important safeguards
indicated in the packaging of each brand of scented
oil bottles you use.
