BEFORE PLAY
HOLD SWITCH
Set the HOLD switch to the right end before play. When not using the unit, set the HOLD switch to the left end (HOLD
position). Accidentally pressed button will not function. If buttons are pressed when the HOLD switch is set to the
HOLD position, "HOLD" appears on the display.
ADJUSTING THE SOUND VOLUME
Turn the VOLUME control to increase or decrease the sound volume.
INSERTING A DISC
1. Press the open button to open the CD cover. Remove the CD protection card.
2. Place a disc in the centre with the label side facing up.
3. Close the lid.
To remove the disc
Lift the disc out with your finger in the depression.
Do not stop the disc by hand or try to remove it before it stops rotating. This can damage the disc.
PLAY
Connect the supplied earphones to the PHONE jack.
1. Set HOLD to the right.
2. Place a disc.
3. Press . Play starts from the first track.
To stop, press twice to power off.
To pause, press . To resume, press it again.

ANTI-SHOCK PLAY
For CD discs, when the player is turned on, "ESP" flashes on the display to indicate the player has anti-shock function.
You can press ASP/DIR to turn off the anti-shock function and the "ESP" indicator. Press again to turn ESP back on.
When no disc is inserted in the player, "NO DISC" appears on the display.
DBBS FUNCTION
The Dynamics Bass Boot System (DBBS) enhances the low frequency bass response of the output.
Set the DBBS switch to the right to turn the function on. 'SBS' shows on the display.
To turn off the function, set DBBS to the left and 'SBS' disappears on the display.
