5.
Wipe off the housing and the warming plate with a damp cloth and a little
dishwashing detergent. Do not use any abrasive scouring agents, steel wool,
metallic objects, disinfectants or hot cleaning agents, since they can dam-
age the appliance.

and the permanent filter in water with a little dishwashing detergent added.

You can also clean the water tank/bean container in the dishwasher.

The appliance must be completely dry before you use it again.
DESCALING
1.
Regular descaling allows the coffee maker to operate more efficiently, pro-
longs the service life and reduces energy consumption.
2.
Use a commercially available descaling product, following the instructions
on the package.
3.
Fill the water tank to the MAX marking with the descaling solution.
4.
Alternatively you can also use citric acid instead. Add 25 to 50 g of citric
acid to one litre of water.
5.
Place the glass coffee pot on the warming plate.
6.
Then turn the control dial to "Pulver", press "EIN/AUS" and allow approx.
one-third of the water quantity to run through.
7.
Switch off the appliance by turning the control dial to "Stop" and let the
descaling solution soak in work for 15 to 30 minutes. If there is heavy scal-
ing, you can also leave the solution in the appliance overnight.
8.
Then turn the control dial to "Pulver" again, press "EIN/AUS" and let the
rest of the descaling solution run through.
9.
Pour out the descaling solution and run clean water through the appliance
at least two times.
