3.3. AROMA DIFFUSER
The Suavinex Smart humidifier has an essential oil tray (B) to perfume the atmosphere very simply:
With the humidifier switched off, remove the lid and add 3 to 5 drops of essential oil (not included in the box) to
the sponge of the essential oil tray (B).
· IMPORTANT:
- To clean the sponge before putting the humidifier away, see section 4.1 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE.
- Make sure you put the drops of essential oil on the sponge, because if it is spilt inside the tank it could affect
its proper functioning.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

The following recommendations will help you clean and maintain
the humidifier properly.
· Before starting cleaning and/or maintenance, it is impor-
tant to know that:
- You must switch off the appliance and unplug the power supply
cable (I) from the mains. If the humidifier is hot, leave it to cool
completely.
4.1. DAILY CLEANING:
TANK (C) AND STEAM GENERATION UNIT (H):
In order to prevent and reduce the possible formation of bacteria
or limescale, it is necessary to clean the appliance every day
according to the following instructions:
1- Remove the water tank (C) from the base (E).
2- Remove the lid (A) of the tank (C).
3- Empty the water tank (C).
4- Rinse the water tank (C) several times in order to completely
eliminate any residue and remove the water.
5- Carefully dry the tank (C) with a soft cloth.
6- To clean the sponge submerge it in soapy water. Then rinse it
with clean water and let it dry completely before putting it in the
essential oil tray (B).
If the humidifier is not going to be used again after cleaning, finish
by drying all the parts of the appliance then put it away in a safe
dry place.
4.2. WEEKLY CLEANING:
EXTERIOR:
LID (A), WATER TANK (C), CONTROL BUTTON (D), BASE (E)
AND MIST OUTLETS (F):
1- Clean these parts with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Dry them
afterwards with a soft, dry cloth if necessary. Clean the mist
outlets (F) with a slightly damp cotton bud and then wipe with a
dry one.
2- Do not use abrasive products such as aggressive detergents,
alcohol, solvents or similar products, as they could cause
permanent damage to these parts.
INTERIOR:
TANK (C) AND ELECTRICAL STEAM GENERATION UNIT (H):
Due to the salts in water, it is normal for limescale to form
in the tank. Limescale can build up quite quickly depending
on the hardness of the water and the frequency with which
the humidifier is used. Limescale reduces the humidifier's
performance and can prevent it from working properly. The
following recommendations will help avoid this:
1- After separating the tank (C) and the base (E), fill the tank with
tap water.
2- Rinse several times so that the water reaches every side. Be
careful not to get the button (D) wet.
3- After pouring out any remaining water, fill the water tank
(C) with a solution consisting of one part water, one part white
vinegar.
4- Put the lid (A) back on the tank (C) and leave the solution to
act on both parts for at least 4 hours.
5- Gently swirl the appliance around for a few minutes and
remove any remaining limescale with a cloth.
6- Rinse the water tank (C) several times with tap water.
7- Leave to drain and dry all wet parts (inside and outside) with a
soft cloth.
If the appliance is not going to be used for a long period of time,
clean it and dry all its parts. To prevent dampness let the inside
of the tank (C) dry (without the lid on). Then store it in a dry, well-
protected place.
