5 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Read all the instructions in this manual carefully before performing cleaning operations.
Take the following precautions before performing any maintenance operation:
E) Make sure that all parts of the appliance are cold.
F) Make sure that the ashes are completely extinguished.
G) Use the personal protective equipment required by Directive 89/391/EEC.
H) Always work using appropriate maintenance tools.
5.1 Cleaning the glass
Clean the glass with a damp cloth or damp paper passed in the ashes. To clean the glass, open the
dual-aperture door by pulling the handle(s) outwards to release the locking pin on the upper side of
the glass; once the lock has been released, open the door and guide it downwards with your hand to
avoid impacts (Fig. 5.1).
You can also use detergents suitable for cleaning kitchen ovens.
Do not clean the glass while the appliance is running and do not use abrasive sponges.
During cleaning operations, support the door with one hand to avoid excessive stress on the structure.
Take great care not to strike the glass since ceramic material is rather fragile.
