HOW TO ATTACH THE DUST HOOD
A dust hood with a 5" opening is supplied with your machine. Use it to connect the planer to a dust collector or a central
dust collection system.
Position the dust hood (A) Fig. 6 against the rear of the machine and on top of cutterhead guard (B). Align the holes and
fasten the dust hood (A) Fig. 7 to the cutterhead guard (B) using seven M6x12mm button head screws (C), four of which are
shown.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
To bring power to this machine:
Loosen the screw (A) Fig. 8 and remove the cover (B) from the terminal box located at the rear of the machine. Bring the power
line up through the hole (C) Fig. 9 in the terminal box.
NOTE: Strain relief and a power cord clamp are not supplied with the machine. Remove the plastic shield (D) Fig. 9 from the
terminal strip (E).

THREE PHASE OPERATION
If the planer is wired for three phase operation, connect the three power lines to terminals (F), (G), and (K) Fig. 10, and the green
ground wire to ground terminal (H).
IMPORTANT: FOR THREE PHASE MACHINES ONLY. After applying power to the machine, turn the power on and off to see if the
cutterhead is rotating correctly. If not, interchange any two of the three power lines connected to terminals (F), (G), and (K) Fig. 10.
NOTE: You can also wire the three-phase motor for 440 volt operation, but you must use a qualified electrician, and the connection
must conform to the National Electric Code and all local codes and ordinances.
SINGLE PHASE OPERATION
If the machine is wired for single phase operation, two power
lines will be connected to the top terminals (L) Fig. 10. Connect
the two incoming power lines to the corresponding bottom
terminals (M) and connect the green ground wire to ground
terminal (H).
