2 SAFETY
2.1
Proper use
The ZIPPER mitre saw ZI-KGS305UG may
be operated for the following works if you
consider the safety-, operation- and main-
tenance instructions.
Mitre cuts into wood.
Only when worked like required at the
section operation.
Operation only by one person.
Operation only with fixed work piece.
Operation only with mounted saw blade
cover.
When firewood can't be fixed well you
mustn't cut it.
Operation is only allowed for tempera-
tures between +5 and +40°C. The air
humidity at +40°C must not be higher
than 60%.
You are only allowed to operate the
machine at a height above the sea level
of 1000m.
If you do not operate the machine like
stated in this manual all the guarantee
and compensation claims towards ZIPPER
GmbH will be terminated.
The same is true for self-made changes
and manipulations on the machine.

2.2
Safety instructions
ZIPPER MASCHINEN cannot be held re-
sponsible for any injuries or damages if
there was performed manipulation or ad-
justments to the machine.
If you give the machine to a third person
you also have to give this manual to that
person.
Do not operate the machine at
insufficient lighting conditions.
Do not operate
when you are tired, when your
concentration is impaired, and/
or under the influence of drugs,
medication or alcohol.
The machine shall be used only
by trained persons.
Non authorized persons, espe-
cially children, shall be kept
away from the work area.
Always be focused when work-
ing, take care to maintain a safe
posture at every time.
Do not work on slippery ground.
Slipping/
down are a frequent cause of
severe injuries.
Do
not wear loose clothing,
long hair openly or loose jewel-
lery like necklaces etc. when
operating the machine
They might be catched by rotat-
ing parts and cause serious inju-
ries.
Use proper safety clothing and
devices when operating the ma-
chine (safety goggles, ear pro-
tectors, safety shoes ...)! For
maintenance work you also have
to wear safety gloves.
The running machine must al-
ways be looked after!
Before leaving the working area
you have to turn off the machine
and wait till the motor and the
saw blade are standing still.
