4.1 Cleaning the cyclone

4.2 Cleaning the housing

1. Switch the appliance off and observe the instructions
under
Chapter 3.2, "Switching off and retracting the
power cable".
2. Remove and empty the dust container,
"Emptying and cleaning the dust container".
3. Turn the cyclone unit (Fig. 20/1) counter-clockwise off
of the dust container (Fig. 20).

4. Remove all residual dust possibly clinging to the dust
container. Use only a dry cloth to do this, or, if
necessary, a brush with soft bristles..
ATTENTION:
The cyclone unit must by no means get in contact with
water. Otherwise clinging dirt particles will clog the
cyclone unit.
5. Place the cyclone unit back onto the dust container so
that the markings are above each other, as shown
Fig. 21
(Fig. 22/1). Connect both parts by turning clockwise
until the markings are flush (Fig. 22/2).
6. Take this opportunity to check the motor protection filter
as well ( Chapter 4.5, "Cleaning the motor protection
filter").
7. Press the dust container firmly into its mounting bracket
until it snaps into place.
8. Check that the dust container is securely fitted.

WARNING:
Before you clean the appliance, switch off the appliance
and remove the mains plug,
and retracting the power cable".
ATTENTION:
Use no cleansers, abrasives or alcohol, as these might
damage the housing.
Clean the outside of the housing using a slightly damp
cloth only.
