Autotest

Always perform an autotest immediately
before and after using the tester.
Never use if the autotest is incorrect.
When working with isolation, the C.A 751 can
only be used with the C.A 704 or C.A 760.
Also perform an autotest on the socket tester -
voltage tester assembly.
Implementation:
Position the 2 P + E adapter in place of the
C.A 7xx tester's test probes
Short-circuit the two pins of the adapter
using a metal object, like a crocodile clip, for
example.
Press the autotest button and check that
the autotest is correct by referring to the
operating manual of the C.A 704 or C.A 760
detector.
Note: The autotest does not cover the
activation of the LEDs (which simply make
the instrument easier to read). However,
during phase identification tests, if the
tester indicates the presence of a voltage
of 127 or 230 V, the LED on the phase
side lights up.

Electrical socket wiring diagnosis

Plug the tester into the power socket
to be tested.
The C.A 751 has three LEDs which
indicate the status of the power socket and
the phase position.
If the socket is wired correctly, the central
LED and one of the two outer LEDs light up.
The outer LED indicates the position of the
phase.
