General instructions
The employer responsible for the work to
erect the scaffolding is responsible for pro-
viding the instructions for erection and use
to the specialist staff who erect, use or
supervise working with the aluminium lad-
der scaffolding.
s a minimum, 2 persons are required to
erect and dismantle the aluminium scaffol-
ding. The persons carrying out the erection
work must have sufficient knowledge and
experience for this task.
The erection work must be managed by
supervisors with appropriate expertise in
this area, who are also able to guarantee
the work is carried out in accordance with
the regulations.
ll instructions and safety advice similarly
apply for private users. The private user is
to take care, in accordance with the instruc-
tions, that the respective regulations are
similarly observed.
The aluminium scaffolding is intended to
enable users to reach high-level working
areas in buildings and in the open.
Permitted works on the aluminium scaffol-
ding are, for example, inspections, servi-
cing works, cleaning works or light restora-
tion works.
Checking, care and maintenance
Never allow parts of the aluminium scaffol-
ding to fall from a height to the ground.
Clean the aluminium scaffolding regularly,
in particular the moveable parts, to remove
paint, plaster, mortar and other residues, in
order to safeguard their technical safety
functions.
Before and after each use, check the alumi-
nium scaffolding to see that all components
are present and function correctly, and also
check for broken parts, cracks, wear and
tear or other damage.
In particular, check the working platform and
its laminated wood covering for damage.
Check to see that the running wheels are
in perfect condition.
Do not use force, e.g. striking with a ham-
mer, to assemble or dismantle the scaffol-
ding. When transporting the scaffolding,
the components are to be stowed correctly
and fastened securely.
If the individual parts are to be stored for a
longer period, they should be kept in a dry
environment either standing upright or lying
flat.
