•
Vertical positioning in the crosswise and
lengthwise direction is to be checked
during erection using a spirit level.
If the scaffolding needs to be raised on
one side in order to be positioned verti-
cally, then the stabilizer bars must be
secured to ensure they do not drop
away.
Note: this applies especially to grassed areas
of ground!
•
Care must be taken with regard to hori-
zontal forces which could cause the scaf-
folding to tip – e.g. as a result of addi-
tional wind stresses, such as the tunnel
effects of buildings forming a wind corri-
dor, or when working on unclad
buildings or the corners of buildings.
•
Before use, a check should be made to
see that the aluminium scaffolding has
been properly and fully erected in
accordance with the specifications of
these instructions for erection and use,
and is standing vertically.
•
Before use, it should be ensured that all
necessary safety provisions to prevent
tipping have been carried out.
Note: if specified, ballast weights are to be
applied to the stabilizer bars.
•
working scaffold is not intended to
serve as tower stairs, used to access
other constructions. It is not designed to
be lifted up or attached.
•
When moving the aluminium scaffol-
ding, no materials and no person or
persons should be on it.
The aluminium scaffolding must only be
moved by hand, and only on a firm,
even, obstacle-free surface.
When moving the scaffolding, care must
be taken to ensure that normal walking
pace is not exceeded, and that the
scaffold must only be moved in the
direction of its longer side.
