Important Information
Non-approved headsets, external loudspeakers, or receivers, may cause
hearing damage or interfere with the voice connection. Take note of the technical
information about connecting a headset. Only use the charging cradle supplied
to charge the handset.
Never hold the rear side of the handset up to your ear if it rings or if you have
switched on the hands-free function. This might cause you serious and
permanent hearing damage.
Location Characteristics
Do not expose the device to sources of heat, direct sunlight or other electrical
devices.
Protect the device against dampness, dust, caustic liquids and vapours.
Never place the device in humid spaces (for example, in a bathroom or shower
room). The charging cradle is not protected against spray water.
During charging, the mains socket must be freely accessible.
Limitations on Use, Operating Conditions
Never use a damaged device.
Do not use the device if the display is cracked or broken. Broken glass or plastic
can cause injuries to the hands or face.
Only operate the device when the battery cover is closed.
The device contains small parts and batteries which infants or small children
might swallow. Keep the device out of reach of small children.
Do not use the device in environments which are prone to explosions, e.g. paint
shops.
If you use medical devices such as a pacemaker, contact the device
manufacturer. They can give you information about the extent to which medical
devices are resistant to external high-frequency energy.
Never use the device in life-support systems or nuclear facilities. The device can
only be used for these purposes with prior written permission/clarification from
the manufacturer in each individual case.
You cannot use the device during a power cut. You also cannot use it to make
emergency calls.
Necessary Knowledge for Configuration
Incomplete or incorrect configuration can create a personal hazard e.g. because
emergency calls cannot be made.
The product is configured using menus in the handset itself. The menus can be
displayed in different languages. If you are not familiar with these languages,
and the technical terms that are used, seek support from someone who has the
necessary technical and language skills.
