Donning the circaid reduction
kit shelf strap:
Step 1:
Apply the appropriate circaid
compression system as directed.
Step 2:
If using the circaid reduction kit
shelf strap, trim the strap to the
desired lengths or keep as one
long band, and secure hook tabs
to the strap ends.
Step 3:
If there is an overhang of
oedematous skin and additional
support or coverage is desired, use
the shelf strap to wrap up
underneath the area in need,
pulling up and around the limb
until firm and comfortable
compression is achieved and
secure to the circaid compression
system of choice.
Step 4:
If a gap between the bands occurs
and cannot be corrected by
adjusting the bands then cover
the gap with the shelf strap
pulling to firm and comfortable
compression and securing the two
hook tabs to the circaid compres-
sion system of choice.
