Installation
CAUTION
• Backpressure valves are not absolutely tight closing shut-
off elements!
Use a solenoid valve for this purpose!
• Implement the necessary precautions in the system
(e.g. when using styrene: Flush after triggering) when using
backpressure valves as overflow valves in connection with
sticky media.
• Observe the direction of flow through the backpressure
valve (direction arrow on housing)!
• Use DHV-S-DL backpressure valves in conjunction with
pulsation dampers only for metering against atmospheric
pressure and for short metering cycles! (Use the DHV-RM
series in all other cases)
• Prior to installation, remove water from the backpressure
valves if they are to be used together with media that must
not come in contact with water!
• The backpressure valves must not be installed under
mechanical stress (e.g. exerted by the piping system)!
• Corresponding national regulations must be observed if the
valves are to be installed abroad!
The valves can be installed at any point in the piping system and in
any position.
Installing on mounting plate
An adapter plate with two holes for mounting screws is provided
on the underside of the valve housing to facilitate installation on a
mounting plate (see Fig. 1).
