Maintenance and cleaning

At normal daily operation, a service check-up should take place every year, according to the
maintenance chart.
When performing annual or regular maintenance, all parts designed to carry load must be as a
minimum tested with maximum load. All safety features must be checked according to EN ISO
10535: 2006 Annex B.

The UK Health and Safety Executive's Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998,
require any equipment that is used in the workplace to lift a load be subject to safety inspection
on a six monthly basis. Please refer to the HSE web site for guidance www.hse.gov.uk
It is the responsibility of the person responsible for the equipment to ensure that LOLER
regulations are adhered to.
The hoist must be stored at normal room temperature. If it is stored in a damp, cold or wet
environment then the motor and other mounting parts may be prone to corrosion.

It is recommended that the batteries are charged frequently, if possible every night, as it will
extend the lifetime of the batteries and will ensure high performance.
