GENERAL PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
Remove all the packaging material and make sure that the appliance is in good condition. If you
have any doubt, do not use the appliance and contact our After-Sales Service, Keep the packaging
material (staples, nylon bags, etc.) out of the reach of children. Before turning the plate on, check
that the voltage and frequency of the power socket are compatible with those indicated in the pro-
duct technical plate.
This appliance must be connected to an approved mains socket that complies with the safety re-
gulations on electrical systems for civil purposes. The electrical system must be specific for the
appliance rated voltage and must be equipped with an earthing cable.
Do not introduce objects into the appliance.
The appliance must be used only for its intended use, that is, as a Grill to cook food. Any use other
than its intended purpose shall be deemed to be improper and hazardous.
The manufacturer shall not be held responsible for damages derived from misuse of this appliance.
To use this appliance in total safety implies observing some basic safety measures, such as: never
use the appliance with wet hands or feet, never expose the appliance to moisture or water, never
leave the appliance exposed to the elements, never disconnect the plug by pulling the power cord
or the appliance itself.
Always place the electric grill on a flat and even surface.
When the appliance is not used and before any maintenance operations, disconnect the plug from
the mains socket.
The appliance has dangerous components that must be kept out of the reach of children.
The power cord must never be in contact with the hot surfaces of the plate.
Never use this device near curtains, inflammable material, furniture, etc.
Do not place the appliance near inflammable substances. To prevent potential risks of fire, never use
the appliance on soft surfaces such as beds, where openings can be obstructed.
Do not place the appliance directly below a power socket.
Do not lay the power cord under a carpet. Do not cover the power cord with a cover or similar ele-
ments. Pay attention not to place the power cable where it is likely to get into people's way.
In order to unplug the appliance, select "0" and disconnect the plug from the power socket.
Never use the appliance with a programmer, timer or any other similar device that switches on the
appliance automatically, since there is a risk of fire if the appliance is covered or incorrectly positio-
ned.
If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced by the manufacturer or the manufacturer's technical
support service, or by an adequately qualified technician so as to prevent any risks.
The appliance has not been designed for use by people (children included) with reduced mental,
physical or sensorial capacities or those without experience or knowledge, unless they have bene-
fited from supervision or instructions in its use through the intermediation of a person responsible
for their safety. Children must be supervised in order to make sure that they do not play with the
appliance. This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD USE only.
After using the grill, do not leave it outdoors; keep it in a dry place.
Never connect the power cord to extensions or triple plugs. Do not pull or damage the power cord.
Before any maintenance operations, disconnect the plug from the mains socket.
If the appliance does not work properly, immediately turn off the electric plate and disconnect the
appliance from the mains socket. For repairs, contact a technical support centre authorised by the
manufacturer, and require that original spare parts be used. Using parts that do not conform to the
product may seriously compromise its correct operation.
Never submerge the product in water. Do not move the appliance until it has cooled off or when there
are cooking pots on the plates.
