Important notice:
When teaching a sound, please avoid
any other environmental noise.
The soundmonitor should remain in
the position in which the according
sound was recorded, in order to as-
sist a secure recognition of the sound
when it occurs again.
Please note:
This device can only recognise re-
peatable and unaltering electronic
sounds. A mechanical sound source
or voice cannot be identified.
3. Power supply
Connect the power supply with the ac-
cording socket on the underside of the
»soundmonitor«.
Plug the power supply unit into a regu-
lar 230V mains electricity outlet.
Blackout-Backup
Please note that this device has been
designed to be primarily powered over
the power supply unit.
The rechargeable batteries serve only
as an emergency backup during po-
wer cuts.
The standby provided by the batteries
covers approx. 16 hours.
The batteries are charged when the
»soundmonitor« is connected to the
mains power supply and the ON/OFF
switch is in »ON« position.
The batteries have a charging time of
approx. 12 hours.

4. Pairing the transmitter with the
receivers
The »soundmonitor« has to be paired
with every »signolux«-receiver, which
is later supposed to react to it. By do-
ing so, the indication type is also defi-
ned.
To register the transmitter, press and
hold the according receiver's function
key. The receiver's event indicator
icons light up in sequence.
Release the function key as soon as
the desired icon is lit up (for example
the doorbell icon when catching the
sound of the doorbell).
Now press one of the three function
buttons of the »soundmonitor«.
Wait for approx. 20 seconds and the
test the setup by pressing any of the
function buttons. The receiver should
now react, showing the according
symbol.
This procedure needs to be repeated
for every receiver unit.
Please note:
Every recognised sound is indicated
by the same event icon on the recei-
vers.
