Back-up mode
Provides a power supply to the vehicle while the battery is being changed. Electrical
equipment such as window lifters, etc. may be used. Because the charger output voltage
is regulated, the vehicle electronics are not adversely affected.

11. Connect vehicle pole terminals to correct poles on new battery
12. End back-up mode by pressing Start/Stop button
Important! If the Start/Stop button is not pressed, the charger will still be in back-up
mode when next switched on.
13. Disconnect charger from mains supply
14. Remove charging terminals from vehicle pole terminals
Press Start/Stop button
Disconnect (-) terminal from battery or vehicle earth (ground)
Disconnect (+) terminal from battery
WARNING! Risk of serious damage as the result of

incorrectly connected charging terminals. The terminal polarity reversal
facility is inoperative in „Charging deep-discharge batteries back-up"
mode.

Connect charging terminals to correct poles and ensure proper electrical
connection to vehicle terminals. Note vehicle voltage.
Switch off engine
Turn off ignition
Plug in charger mains plug
Press and hold Start/Stop button for approx. 5 sec. - „Charging deep-discharge
batteries/back-up mode" menu item is activated
Select battery voltage by pressing Up/Down buttons
Example: 12 V vehicle voltage
Confirm selected voltage by pressing Start/Stop button
Connect charging terminals to correct vehicle pole terminals
Confirm correct terminal connection prompt by pressing Start/Stop button
Charger starts back-up mode
If no buttons are pressed within 5 seconds, the charger
returns to the main menu.
