6.3 At home
The cleaning and disinfection procedure described in this chapter
applies to all individual parts of the PARI PEP System with the
exception of the pressure gauge, the pressure gauge connection
tube and the adapter. These parts are to be wiped down with a damp
cloth when necessary. Replace the tubing if it is contaminated.
6.3.1
Cleaning
• Take the PARI PEP System apart completely (see Chapter 6.2
"Preparation").
Recommended method: Use warm tap water
• Clean all parts thoroughly for 5 minutes with warm tap water
(approx. 40 °C) and a little dishwashing liquid (in the strength specified in
the manufacturer's recommendations).
• Then rinse all parts thoroughly under warm running water (approx. 40 °C
without dishwashing liquid).
• Pour out the collected water.
You can remove excess water more quickly by shaking the parts.
6.3.2
Disinfection
Disinfect the dismantled PARI PEP System after cleaning.
In boiling water
• Place the individual parts in boiling water for at least 5 minutes. Use a
clean pot and fresh drinking water.
If your water is very hard, limescale may be deposited on the parts
as a milky coating. This can be prevented by using softened water.
Plastic will melt if it comes into contact with the hot base of the pot.
Therefore, make sure there is plenty of water in the pot. This way,
you will avoid damaging the components.
