Inserting the batteries

Open the battery compartment by
sliding out the cover and removing it.
Insert two AAA type batteries (not
included in the scope of delivery).
Pay attention to correct polarity.
Close the battery compartment
again: Slide the cover back on.
Note: The recorded messages are
retained when the batteries are re-

placed.
Important information: Only use the battery types recommended. Do not
mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types (e.g. alkaline cell,
zinc−carbon). If the device will not be used for a longer period, remove the
batteries. Do not remove the batteries while recording on it.

Electrostatic discharge

In rare cases it is possible that, if the device is exposed to high electrical
charges, it stops functioning properly or the display goes out. Should this
occur, simply remove the batteries and then put them back in. All the settings
are then returned to their default state but the recordings are retained.
