12.
SOLVING THE MOST COMMON FAULTS
12.1 POSSIBLE PROBLEMS, CAUSES AND SOLUTIONS
For any type of information or problem, contact your nearest
distributor or authorised technical service centre.
CAUTION
Before performing cleaning, maintenance or adjustment
operations and/or replacing any part, it is mandatory to
set the main switch to 0 (zero) and lock it with a padlock.
Remove pressure from the installation by disconnecting
the quick coupling compressed air connection and lock it
with a padlock.
12.2 PROBLEM – THE MACHINE DOES NOT START UP OR
STOPS DURING OPERATION
Causes
1 - No power supplied.
2 - The safety microswitch is connected.
3 - The thermal protection is activated, to a motor overload.
4 - Short-circuited electrical element.
5 - Insufficient pressure (below 4.5 bar).
Solutions
1 - Using an electric tester, verify that voltage is present on
all phases
2 - Check that the protective cover is fully closed.
3 - The magnetothermic fuses are located inside the electrical
board and operate automatically, providing thermal protec-
tion to the trimmer.
Solve the problem that caused the magnetothermic fuse to
blow, and reset it.
Restart the machine. If the problem persists, contact your dis-
tributor or nearest authorised technical service centre.
4 - The operating pressure must be 6 bar. The machine may
operate poorly if the pressure is lower than this. The machine
is equipped with a safety device that prevents it from being
started if the pressure is below ~ 4.5 bar.
Check the compressor efficiency and make sure that the pres-
sure switch is set to 6 bar. (See section 5.1.2).
12.3 PROBLEM: TRIMMING DEFECTS
CAUTION
The quality of the trimming depends directly on the
board's characteristics. If the board is concave, convex,
or its edges are not at 90°, do not attempt to correct the
machine settings, since you will not obtain better results.
