7. Installation
• Always make sure to install the VDSSM4 subwoofer and satellites on a flat and stable surface,
protected from rain and moisture.
• Make all necessary connections before applying power to the device.
• The VDSSM4 can be connected to the mixer in either mono or stereo mode.
Mono mode setup
• To use the device in mono mode, connect the jack inputs from channel 1 (5) and channel 2 (6)
together and plug the connector coming from the mixer in the XLR3 connector from channel 1 (5).
• To use the device in stereo mode, simply connect the XLR3 connectors coming from the mixer in
channel 1 (5) and channel 2 (6).
• The satellites must be connected via a male-male NL4 Speakon
• With the signal ground/lift switch (7), the grounding mode can be selected. Only change this
setting when the device is off!
• Verify that the power switch (11) is in the OFF-position and plug the power cable in (9).
• Switch the power switch (11) to the ON-position. The power LED (4) on top of the subwoofer will
turn on.
• To replace the fuse (10), disconnect the power cable, unscrew the protective cover and replace
the fuse with a new fuse with the same specifications. Reinstall the plastic cover and reapply
power to the device.

Stereo mode setup
• To transport the system, simply set the subwoofer on its casters and
place the satellites onto the subwoofer with the acoustic grille facing
down.
• Secure the satellites to the subwoofer with a locking strap (not
included).
• Always handle the device with care.
