IMPorTANT sAfeGuArds

1. Please read these instructions carefully and
keep them in a safe place.
2. This appliance is not designed to be used
by persons (including children) with limited
physical, sensory, or mental capabilities,
or lacking in experience and/or knowledge.
This is unless they are supervised by a per-
son responsible for their safety, or they are
instructed by such a person on how to use
the appliance.
3. Children should be supervised in order to
ensure they don't play with the machine.
4. Connect the appliance to alternating current
only, in accordance with the rating plate.
5. Appliances are not intended to be operated
by means of an external timer or separate
remote-control system.
6. Provide good room ventilation during use.
7. Never immerse the appliance in water or
any other liquid. Avoid any contact with
water. If this should happen, all parts of the
compliance are completely dry before using
it again. Only for cleaning the appliance can
be wiped with a soft damp cloth.
8. Never place the base on a hot surface or a
metal tray.
9. Always place the appliance of a flat, solid,
dry and heat-resisting surface.
10. Keep a sufficient distance to walls and in-
flammable materials such as curtains etc.

11. Do not pull at the cord to move the
appliance and do not wind the cord around
the appliance during use.
12. Never cover the appliance during or directly
after use, when it is still hot.
13. Ensure, that the power cord does not hang
down from the worktop as children can
pull the lead and thereby cause a serious
accident.
14. The surface of the appliance becomes very
hot during use, so do not touch hot surfaces
or cooking plates. If necessary use oven
gants.
15. Never switch on the appliance without
placing a filled saucepan on the respective
cooking plate. Ideally you should use flat
bottomed saucepans with the same dia-me-
ter as the cooking plate.
16. The cooking plate becomes very hot during
use. Food may catch fire if overheated. Be
extremely careful not to leave the appliance
in use.
17. Do not forget to switch off the appliance
by turning the dial into the o/MIN position
once your preparation is ready and the
appliance is no longer in use. Pull the plug
out of the socket.
18. After switching off the cooking plates still
remain hot for some time. Do not touch the
hot cooking plates.
