3. Rebending the reinforcement bars

Use a suitable tool (e.g. a pipe) to bend the rebar back or straighten it.
For the diff erent diameters of the rebars, diff erent tubes with matching
inner diameters should be used.
• According to DIBt approval Z-21.8-2035 and to the guidelines in the
DBV (German Concrete Association) "Rebending of reinforcing steel and
requirements of protective boxes according to Eurocode 2", section 3.2.(4)
rebending bars without an appropriate tool is not permitted .
• Rebending at temperatures below −5°C is not permitted.
3.2
Apply matching pipe to the reinforcement bar.
3.3
Pull the pipe evenly upwards, until the rebar is straightened to the desired
position without kinking. Reposition in between. Repeat for all HBT element
bars. The profi led steel casing remains in the concrete.
3.4
After pouring the next concrete section the steel casing of the HBT element
is entirely encased in concrete and is perfectly protected against corrosion.

The steel cover is recyclable scrap metal, please dispose of
in a responsible manner
