7. MANAGING CONTROLLER FUNCTIONS

7.1. MANAGING THE BY-PASS

In equipment with built-in by-pass, the control can manage the by-
pass in three different modes: Winter, Summer or nodefined. To
change mode, follow the steps described in section 6.5. CONFIGU-
RATION OF PARAMETERS.
In winter, when the outside air
temperature in greater than the
temperature of the return air
+2ºC, the by-pass opens (Te >
Tr +2ºC). In summer, when the
outside air temperature is below
that of the return air -2ºC, the
by-pass opens (Te < Tr -2ºC).
If you have selected non-de-
fined season, the by-pass will
open if the difference between
the outside temperature and
the return temperature is lower
than 2ºC (Te-Tr│< 2ºC).

7.2. ANTI-FROST MANAGEMENT

To prevent the formation of
frost on the heat exchanger,
the equipment is continuously
measuring the temperature of
the extracted air (Tx). When the
temperature falls below 1ºC,
the anti-frost function will start:
the extractor fan turns on 100%
flow and the blower fan will
stop. If the equipment has a double frequency converter, the ex-
tractor fan will slow down instead of stopping. This situation will
continue until the temperature of the extracted air exceeds 3ºC
(factory setting).

7.3. POST-HEATING MANAGEMENT

With electric batteries
The equipment's electric batteries are 1 or 2-stage. The battery
stages will switch on or off according to the following conditions:
• 1st stage: When the temperature of the return air (Tr) is one
degree lower than the set temperature (Ts), the 1st stage of the
battery will switch on. (Tr-Ts < -1ºC). This stage of the battery will
not switch on unless the blowing flow is greater than 40% of the
maximum flow (for three-phase motors) or equal to or greater
than the first speed (for 3-speed motors).
• 2nd stage: When the temperature of the return air (Tr) is five
degrees lower than the set temperature (Ts), the 2nd stage of
the battery will switch on. (Tr-Ts < -5ºC). This stage of the battery
