7. Working life

7.5 Charging and discharging batteries

The connected battery will be charged automatically while the controller is connected to the
mains. After a max. 16 hours charging, the battery will again have reached full capacity. You
must only connect lead gel batteries with the capacity and voltage given on the maker's plate.
An audible alarm warns the user before the battery discharges completely in battery mode.
If the battery has been discharged completely, it must be recharged immediately to avoid
damage. An energy reduction at the controller protects the battery against a rapid total dischar-
ge, but it must be charged after one week at the latest.
