• Do not expose the device to water and wipe it immediately if it gets wet. Certain liquids
contain minerals that can cause the electronic circuits to corrode.
• Use and store the door chime only in normal temperature environments. Extreme
temperatures can shorten the life of your EDB and they can damage the batteries and
reform the housing.
• Handle the door chime with care. Dropping it can damage the circuit boards and can
cause the door chime to work improperly.
• Protect the door chime from dust and dirt since they may cause certain parts to wear
prematurely.
• Wipe the door chime occasionally with a damp cloth to keep it looking new. Do not use
cleaning solvents or strong detergents to clean the chime.
• Use only fresh batteries of the recommended size and type. Always remove old or weak
batteries to avoid leakage of chemicals that can destroy electronic circuits.
• Modifying or tampering with the door chime's internal components may cause a
malfunction, which automatically voids your warranty. Do not open the housing
yourself: all repairs and maintenance activities should be handled by a qualified
technician.
