Intended Use
a. Indications
In cases where breastfeeding is insufficient or impossible, breast pumps help mothers to
ensure their babies always have the benefit of breast milk.
Breast pumps can be used at different stages of lactation. At the beginning, they can help to

stimulate the production of milk and later, help to maintain long-term production.
Women may wish to express their milk for a number of reasons, including:
- Medical reasons related to their baby, such as sucking problems, premature birth, neonatal
pathologies or cleft lip.
- Medical reasons related to motherhood, such as cracks, engorgement, painful breastfeeding,
inverted nipples or medical treatment incompatible with breastfeeding.
- Comfort reasons, for example mothers who wish to store their milk due to temporary absence.
- Reasons related to returning to work, for mothers wishing to continue to feed their baby with
breast milk.
b. Contraindications and adverse effects
There is no known contraindication to the use of KOLOR PLAY® manual breast pumps.
