Pull the starting cable (fig.5) until the
motor starts up.
Leave the motor to run for a few seconds.
MOTOR STOP
1) To stop the motor, move the throttle lever (fig. 3-
4) to position
(1).
7. USE
HOW TO USE THE TILLER
1) Move the machine close to the area of land to be
hoed.
Make sure there are no foreign
bodies on the land to be hoed.
2) Position the transport wheel in "HIGH" position.
Take out the pin (fig.6 part.2) and lift the wheel rod
so as to be able to lock this with pin (fig.6 part.2) and
split pin (fig.6 part.1) in the highest hole (fig.6 part.3).
3) Start the motor. See chap.6.
4) To start cutter rotation, press the cutter control
lever (fig.7) and move this to position (2). When the
lever is released, the cutter will stop.
IMPORTANT!! As soon as the cut-
ter starts turning, the TILLER
will tend to move forward over the
ground.
5) To adjust cutter speed, and consequently cutter
working depth, the operator should:
- MAXIMUM WORKING DEPTH
Press the handlebars so the ploughshare digs into
the soil, thereby reducing cutter speed (fig. 7) and
increasing the working depth.

- MINIMUM WORKING DEPTH
Reduce the pressure on the handlebars so the
ploughshare lifts up from the ground, the cutter speed
(fig.7) increases and the working depth is reduced.
- PLOUGHSHARE ADJUSTMENT
Adjust the position of the ploughshare (fig.8) ac-
cording to the soil to be worked and the cutting depth
to be obtained. Remove the split pin (fig.8 part.1)
and remove the pin (fig.8 part.2). Move the plough-
share and position this in one of the retention holes
using the pin and split pin.
9. MAINTENANCE
IMPORTANT!! Switch off the motor
and disconnect the plug before
performing any maintenance jobs.
IMPORTANT!! Wait for the motor to
completely cool down.
IMPORTANT!! Wear safety gloves
when fitting and servicing the
cutters.

CHECKING THE SCREWS AND ROTATING
PARTS
Before using, check there are no loose screws or
parts and that there are no cracks or extensive wear
on the cutter blades.
Replace any damaged parts before using.
REPLACING THE CUTTERS (Fig.9)
Loosen the spring and take out the lock pin (1).
Remove the cutter from the shaft (2). Fit the new
cutter, making sure the shaft fastening holes coincide
and lock the entire assembly with pin and spring.
