BOILER THERMOSTAT OPERATION: ALARM OUTPUT AL2
This function is used to set burner ignition and extinguishing limits, with reference to the set point value.
To do this, the AL2 parameters must be used.
+
Connect LC3 terminals 8a and 9a to terminals T
Set the following parameter in the OUT parameter unit:
O3F = Al.nc
normally closed relay
Set the following parameters in the AL2 unit:
AL2 = Hide
Maximum relative alarm
AL2 = 5
Switching off delta compared to SP
HAL2 = 10
Switching on hysteresis compared to SP and AL2
Example below:
SP = 70°
AL2 = 5
HAL2 = 10
If temperature is above 75°C (SP + AL2), burner turns off.
When temperature reaches 65°C (SP + AL2 - HAL2), burner turns on again.

TWO-STAGE OPERATION
The dual fuel burners have a modulating operation when gas is used, and a two-stage operation when
diesel is used.
The AL1 alarm parameters must be used for two-stage operation.
Connect burner terminals 70 and 71 to LC3 terminals 4a and 6a.
Select the diesel fuel to enable digital inputs.
Set the following parameters in the AL1 unit:
Output 2 enabling
Maximum relative alarm
AL1 = -15
Hysteresis for shift to first stage
Example below:
SP = 70°
AL1 = -15
If temperature ranges between 55° and 70° (SP + (-AL1)) burner operates with only one stage.
If temperature drops below 55°, burner operates in second stage.
