This device is designed as an

1. SAFETY AND INSTALLATION
RECOMMENDATIONS
- Do not connect the hood outlet to
a conduit through which hot air cir-
culates or one that is being used to
evacuate fumes from devices sup-
plied by non-electrical power.
- When an extractor hood and a
burner or oven that depend on
ambient air and are supplied by
non-electrical power are in opera-
tion at the same time, for safe
operation you are advised to air
the area well and ensure that
fresh air comes in from the outsi-
de. This is necessary because
when the hood extracts, it absorbs
the air from that atmosphere that
ovens need for combustion.
- To extract air to the outside,
observe the current legislation of
the country in which the device is
to be installed.
- Ensure that the extraction con-
duit is clean and that is not obs-
tructed.
- For optimum efficiency of the
hood, use the shortest possible
extraction conduit and avoid
bends. If a flexible conduit is ins-
talled, stretch it out fully.
- If it is necessary to use a con-
nection pipe comprising two or
more parts, the upper part must
be outside the lower part.
- Do not attempt to handle the fil-
ters when the hood is in operation.
- Do not touch the bulbs when the
device has been in operation for a
long time.
- Food must not be cooked on a
flame below the hood.
- Avoid open flames, as they can
damage the filters and lead to
fires.
