OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Place your coffee maker on a flat, level surface, such as a countertop. Plug the unit into a
120 volt 60Hz AC outlet.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

1. Plug the unit into a 120 volt 60Hz AC outlet.
2. Pour 600 ml of warm water into water tank.
3. Set reusable nylon filter into the filter basket (Do not add coffee grounds).
4. Place carafe on the warming plate.
Press the ON/OFF switch.

6. Allow the brew cycle to completely finish.
7. Discard the water from the carafe.

BREWING COFFEE

1. Open the filter basket.
2. Insert the nylon filter into the filter basket. The reusable nylon filter can be used
just as you would use a paper filter.
3. Place the desired amount of ground coffee into the filter. See the chart below to
determine the amount of coffee to use.
4. Pour the appropriate amount of cold water into the water reservoir tank.
5. Place the carafe on the warming plate.
Press the ON/OFF switch.

NOTE: The filter basket and the nylon filter must be inserted correctly so that the filter
basket closes properly. Ensure that the filter basket is fully closed prior to starting the brew
cycle.

PAUSE AND POUR FEATURE

Your coffee maker has been designed with a pause and pour feature. If you wish, at any
time during the brewing cycle you may temporarily remove the glass carafe from the
unit and pour a cup of hot coffee (this feature allows you up to 30 seconds to do so). The
brewing cycle will be interrupted and no coffee will drip from the filter basket. Simply repla-
cing the carafe on the warming plate will restart the brewing process.
WARNING: Return the carafe within 30 seconds to the warming plate if removed during
brewing to prevent overflow and possible injury.
