INITIAL USE
»
Before you start using the appliance for
the first time, grease the non-stick coated
cooking plates lightly with a small amount
of oil or fat, and let the appliance heat up for
about 10 minutes with the cooking places
closed. This will remove the smell typically
encountered when first switching on a
sandwich toaster. Please ensure sufficient
ventilation.

Then, clean the sandwich toaster
afterwards as described in "Cleaning and
Care".

HOW TO USE YOUR
SANDWICH PRESS
»
Insert the plug into the wall socket. Both
pilot lights will turn on.
»
Set
the
thermostat
temperature.
»
After short warm up period the sandwich
press will be ready for use – this is indicated
when the green thermostat light switches
off. (Note: the red light will remain switched
on while the appliance is operating; the
green thermostat light will go on every
now and then, indicating that the device is
heating up).
»
Open the sandwich press
»
Place the prepared sandwiches on the
lower cooking plate and gently close the
upper cooking plate.
»
Press both cooking plates together by using
the handle.
»
The cooking time is general three to four
minutes, depending on the bread and filing.
»
Once finished, open the sandwich press
and take out the sandwiches. In order to
prevent the non-stick cooking plates from
being damaged do not use sharp or pointed
objects while removing the sandwiches.
»
Remove the plug from the wall socket after
use.
HOW TO USE YOUR 180º
OPEN GRILL
»
Open the appliance from closed sandwich
press position, so that the plates are at a
90º angle.
»
Press the Hinge Release Lever and gently
use the handle to push the upper plate onto
the surface area.
»
Make sure that both plates are level.
»
The appliance will stay in this position until
you lift the handle and upper plate to the
closed position.
»
The
open
grill
is
hamburgers,
grilled
barbecued chicken.
»
As you cook, grease is collected into the
Grease Trays for disposal.
»
Once finished, unplug and allow the
appliance to cool before cleaning.
CLEANING AND CARE
»
Before cleaning, remove the plug from the
wall socket and wait until the appliance has
cooled down with the cooking plates open.
»
For reasons of electrical safety, do not
clean the appliance with water or any other
liquid
»
Clean the outside with a soft damp cloth
only.
»
The non-stick coated plates can also be
cleaned with a soft damp cloth or a soft
