4. Maintenance
4.1 Basic maintenance
instructions
HYDAC safety equipment is basically
maintenance-free.
The GSV must undergo repeat testing
according to the national regulations at an
approved inspection agency.
In the Federal Republic of Germany this is
regulated by the "Industrial Safety Regulation"
(BetrSichV) or EN 14359.
NOTICE
The lead seal (2) on the GSV must not be
removed.
Its presence proves that no alterations have
been made on the unit with regard to the
setting pressure.
For drawings referred to in the text, see fold-
out page.

5. Service life
Like all safety valves, the HYDAC GSV has a
finite service life. Amongst other things, this is
dependent on the number of operations, where
the seal is subject to varying stress.
On safety equipment, the O-ring (12) is
considered to be the component which limits
service life due to ageing.
NOTICE
Disposal of the GSV:
If a HYDAC GSV is leaking, it can be repaired
by the manufacturer.
Repairs must only be carried out by HYDAC,
since the GSV will have to be re-set.
