Fitting the front basic carrier
Fit the basic carrier with the help of a second person.
1. Open protective caps (7) on both sides with key (3)
and fold them up.
2. Pull quick-tightening device (8) in the direction of
the arrow and turn anti-clockwise as far as it will go.
3. Place front basic carrier (1) on the roof rails at a

distance of (X)
. Make sure tightening claw (9) and
supports (10) are positioned on the roof rail.
Distance (X):
315 mm
1. Distance between the end strip of the windscreen and
the basic carrier.

4. Turn quick-tightening device (8) clockwise until
you feel and hear it engage in position.
5. Push quick-tightening device (8) in the opposite
direction to the arrow and engage it in position.
6. Fold down protective caps (7) on both sides and
lock with key (3). If protective cap (7) cannot be
closed, slightly turn quick-tightening device (8).
