Histogram
The histogram is the graphical representation of the brightness distribution
of an image. If the graphic is accentuated on the left, the picture is very
dark; if it is accentuated on the right, the picture is very bright.
Dark picture
You can optimise the brightness distribution before recording. If the picture
is too dark you can set a positive value for exposure correction. If the
picture is too bright you can set a negative value for exposure
compensation.
You can enable or disable the histogram display (see
page 135).
Macro Mode
This device features a macro function allowing you to focus on very close
subjects. This allows you to place the lens as close as 20cm (7.9inch)
from the subject. The macro switch [13] is located on the lateral panel of
the device.
Slide the switch to the Macro position to enable the macro mode. Slide the
switch back to the Normal position to disable the macro mode.
While the macro mode is enabled, the
