POWER SUPPLY UNIT up110
Power supply up110 is integrated into the UC380 base unit (Figure 5a, pos. 3) and powers the installed
modules.
In normal state the LED POWER indicator glows green permanently. The ADDRESSED indicator glows
green when power supply module is selected by the handheld control unit or PC software. In normal state
the STATUS indicator does not glow. If the internal diagnostic system has detected a failure - the STATUS
indicator glows red. This indicator also glows red if the power supply is overloaded by a fault module or
external power consumption. The temperature is indicated from the area above the hottest power supply
component. The temperature inside the module, voltages and current consumption are displayed when
power supply is selected by handheld or PC software (permanent virtual number #9).
The cooling fan is placed above the power supply section and has two modes of operation: manual and
automatic switch ON/OFF control depending on power supply internal temperature.
In case of faulty fan unscrew 4 screws and unplug fan cable. Connect new fan and screw the 4 screws.
CONNECTIONS BOARD
The connections board integrates the RF output of each module combiner and the DC & data distribution
bus (Figure 5a, pos. 8).
RF OUTPUT AMPLIFIER
RF output amplifier is intended to boost, regulate output level of UC380 and has a test port.
BASE UNIT NUMBER SETTING
Up to 16xUC380 base units can be linked together using the supplied data cables. Where more than one
UC380 is connected to the data bus, it is necessary to set each base unit's identity with a virtual number.
Each base unit number is set by the 5 positions DIP switch (Figure 5a, pos. 2). 4 positions (1, 2, 4, 8) are
for setting of the base unit number (Figure 6). Position 5 is switched ON only in the last base unit in data
bus extension line (e.g. the base unit Nr.3, figure 14).
The table below shows how to set the base unit number.

The base unit identity number cannot be duplicated for 2 different base units.
On PC monitor the base unit will be indicated in order to base unit's number.
The base unit is supplied with the DIP switch settings for only 1 base unit Nr.1 (see Figure 6).
